Meet Your Doula

Hi, I’m Kaila! I became a birth doula to help women have the confidence and support they need to create the birth experience of their dreams.

Too many women leave their birthplace with their new baby feeling like birth happened to them. I help women gain the confidence and support they need to take the lead decision making role in their birth, so they can look back on the experience with satisfaction, accomplishment, and joy.

But this birth isn’t about me. It’s about you and your family. So let’s talk more about you.

  • "Kaila is an incredible doula! She helped me with my second baby and just having her there for support and empowerment made such a difference! She's knowledgeable, understanding, and a great listener. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing any doula services."

    Cathryn

  • "Kaila is kind, funny, and helpful. She is also extremely supportive. She's a great listener and she advocates for people. She is very knowldgeable about birth and coping techniques. I have learned so much from her. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

    Sierra

Why have a doula on your team?

In a nutshell: because your experience giving birth matters. You deserve to be held through the experience, to know how strong you are, and to feel confident in the decision-making role for your body and baby.

EmpowerHer Doula Support includes:

  • Free Consultations: Consultations are a low-pressure opportunity to meet the doula, ask your questions, and decide whether we are a good match.

  • Prenatal Visits and Childbirth Education: Prenatal meetings build your relationship with your doula and increase your confidence. Birth planning and education are included so that when the day comes to deliver, you feel ready and supported. Birth partners are encouraged to participate as well.

  • Birth Support: Offering 24/7, on-call support during your birth window and in-person support during labor and delivery. No matter what comes up during your birth experience, you will be held and supported the whole way.

  • Breastfeeding Support: Basic breastfeeding support to help you get off to a good start and meet your feeding goals.

  • Postpartum Visit: The postpartum visit is an opportunity to process your birth experience with someone who was there witnessing it with you. Resources to help you get your feet under you again are also provided.

Throughout each stage, my focus is on nurturing, informing, and empowering you.
